Carry out geological mapping and geological studies in relation to petroleum exploration and development.

Evaluate geological, geochemical, geophysical and well data.

Assess exploration, drilling, appraisal and development work programs and technical reports in relation to petroleum exploration and development.

Provide technical advice to the Director on matters pertaining to petroleum.

Conduct inspections and monitoring of petroleum exploration and development operations.

Generate geological information for petroleum exploration.
