Compete Caribbean has launched a call for proposals for project ideas that can enhance the business environment or support private sector development in the Caribbean and will close on March 31st. Application is straightforward, and the proposals received will be evaluated by a cross-IDB group team of IDB, IDBLab and IDBInvest. The Technical Cooperation grant funds have already been approved, so once the projects are selected, successful applicants can proceed access financing. The eligible countries are: The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago. Each country has been allocated US$160,000, and at least one project will be financed per eligible country.
