The Government of Belize has received Three Hundred Thousand US Dollars (US$ 300,000) in Readiness grant financing from the Green Climate Fund for the implementation of the project – Strengthening the Capacity of the Ministry of Economic Development for pre-Accreditation to the Green Climate Fund. The overarching objective Readiness is to address institutional gaps of the Ministry of Economic Development that inhibit the ministry’s ability to successfully access climate finance through entities such as the GCF. This readiness grant will provide technical support to strengthen the operational policies of MED to enable its compliance with GCF accreditation requirements. The Ministry is now seeking suitable, competent professionals to fill the positions of Project Manager, Communication Officer, and IT Specialist/Web Developer.
