The Government of Belize has received financing from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) towards the cost of Resilient Rural Belize Programme and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the recruitment of consulting services.
The use of any IFAD financing shall be subject to IFAD’s approval, pursuant to the terms and conditions of the financing agreement, as well as IFAD’s rules, policies and procedures. IFAD and its officials, agents and employees shall be held harmless from and against all suits, proceedings, claims, demands, losses and liability of any kind or nature brought by any party in connection with Resilient Rural Belize Programme.
The consulting services (“the services”) include:
a. Development of a six-month training curriculum in business management with specific focus on agricultural enterprises that promotes climate resilient practices, and targeted to young men and women between the ages of 18 and 24;
b. Organization and implementation of the developed training curriculum for thirty-six (36) young male and female farmers (50%) from the Programme’s beneficiary communities.
This Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) follows the general procurement notice that appeared on the IFAD website on 17th August, 2023, on UNDB on 17th August, 2023 and in local newspapers on 18th August, 2023.
